Ski champion makes active lifestyle accessible and fun

Founded in 2015 by alpine ski champion Pierre Paquin, AirFit is a startup that designs, manufactures, and installs publicly available outdoor fitness stations. The stations are accompanied by a proprietary virtual-coaching application that guides users on how to perform more than 150 exercises on the stations’ versatile apparatuses. Anyone from complete beginner to seasoned athlete can improve their strength, endurance, and agility—for free.  

In early 2017 AirFit, then known as Fitness Connect, launched a rebrand. Co-founders Pierre and Mehdi teamed up with Sensologica to craft a new visual identity that would give AirFit a competitive edge in the crowded marketplace.

AirFit’s early logo concepts were refined to emphasize the dynamic shapes that mirror the architecture of AirFit stations. The stark contrast between the sunbright yellow and the elegant black conveys confidence and understated strength, and captures the athletic and entrepreneurial DNA that can be felt throughout AirFit’s offices. The impact of these elements is most felt when you hold the thick duplex business cards in your hands. Printed on Sevilla Jaune Soleil and Sirio Black papers, their rigidity conveys reliability and trust, and renders tangible AirFit’s omnipresent dedication to quality.
